Everyone is looking for natural tricks that they can use to look their best at all times, and as surprising as it may sound, using tea is a very efficient way to look beautiful. If you’re curious how tea is able to do this, read the following lines to find out the 5 ways in which you can use it for beauty purposes.

1. Tea is a great toner

We all crave for a face as smooth as a baby’s skin, and the most efficient way to prepare a face toner is by making a cup of highly concentrated mint tea, letting it cool down, soaking a cotton ball in the cup, and dabbing it gently all over your face. By doing this every morning when you wake up and every night before you go to bed, you are guaranteed to have perfect skin.

2. Use it to exfoliate your skin

A great way to have soft and gorgeous skin is to prepare an exfoliant using green tea leaves and honey, this mixture being able to effectively remove all the impurities on your skin. All you have to do is to apply the scrub made from the upper mentioned ingredients on your face or your body, let it sit for 10-15 minutes, and when the time passes you must rinse the exfoliant thoroughly, just like you would do with any other type of exfoliant.

3. It strengthens your hair

To have hair that looks exactly like in the commercials, shiny and strong, rinse your hair with tea after shampooing it, and don’t wash it off when you’re done. By doing this, your hair will look better than it has ever looked, and it will stay protected from pollution and intense products. Also, if you have red hair remember to use only green tea or rooibos for this process to achieve that rock star look that you desire.

4. Goodbye puffy eyes

When your eyes look puffy and tired, your entire face looks that way, and you tend to look older than you actually are. If you want to revitalise your whole face in the most natural way possible you can use green tea or chamomile tea. Therefore, to get rid of those unpleasant looking puffy eyes with the help of chamomile or green tea, place chilled tea bags on each eye and keep them there for 15 minutes, or brew the tea bags and refrigerate the tea itself for 1-2 hours before applying it on your face using soaked cotton balls.

5. Get rid of the unpleasant sunburns

When summer comes, most people get nasty sunburns from staying too long in the sun or due to the fact that they have very sensitive skin. To relieve the pain that you feel from these awful sunburns and to reduce the redness that comes with them, you can use black tea, being the most efficient type of tea due to the fact that it’s rich in antioxidants. All you have to do is to put a couple of black tea bags in a cup of warm water, wait for the water to darken, soak a towel in the cup, and apply it to the sunburnt areas. In case your sunburns are more severe, apply the tea bags directly to the affected areas.
